Across the UK, and particularly in the Surrey and Hampshire areas, we are lucky to have a large number of listed properties. These buildings are protected because of their history, the materials used, their local context and the land around them. Clients we have worked with who own a listed property feel it is a real privilege to be part of the building’s history and want to build a garden that reflects that history - and we help them to do that within the restrictions that listed properties face.
Respecting listed property requirements
Depending on your property and its listing requirements, you’ll need a landscaping specialist who understands how to manage any controls on design and build. Listing might mean that there are more restrictions to your home, often extending to any outbuildings on your land, and including permanent features such as boundary walls. It’s also possible that you may have trees with a Tree Protection Order.
