SUSTAINABLE GARDEN

SUSTAINABLE GARDEN

Ideally, every garden should be sustainable, with significant emphasis on encouraging biodiversity and minimising land disruption. With an increasing awareness of the impacts of climate change, many homeowners are looking for garden landscape design that prioritises sustainable features such as water retention and reuse, growing native plants and encouraging wildlife.

At PC Landscapes, every garden design we produce starts from a sustainable standpoint. We use an in-depth Green Audit at the time of our initial site survey. This assesses the current materials available on site, along with current biodiversity and ecologies, and water and drainage. Once complete, it allows us to incorporate carbon reduction from the very beginning of the project. This not only reduces the environmental impact – it allows us to see how we can achieve a net gain in biodiversity and sustainability where possible.

ACHIEVING MORE
WITH LESS

Responsible landscape architecture is committed to achieving the maximum design impact with the lowest possible effect on the environment. From reducing the number of deliveries required to taking advantage of natural water drainage features, our design motto is to ‘achieve more with less’.

This ethical, nature-based approach helps to reduce project costs and time. It helps to build gardens that both meet your needs in terms of lifestyle and wellbeing while also helping nature to thrive.

SUSTAINABILITY THROUGHOUT YOUR GARDEN

While you may just think about pollinating plants when you hear the words ‘sustainable garden’, there’s a lot more to a truly sustainable garden.

Every element must be carefully thought about and planned, from the materials used for hard landscaping, to the natural geology of your site. Our deep commitment to putting sustainability at the heart of every project means that we have the tools, experience and influence to design a sustainable garden that’s built to last – and to give back to nature.
