Luxury Landscaping & Garden Design in Windsor, Berkshire

Designed to support both large-scale entertaining and everyday wellbeing, this landscape transformation focused on creating a multifunctional outdoor environment tailored to the clients’ international lifestyle. Combining contemporary landscaping, immersive planting, and sustainable garden design, the project delivers a balance of practicality, privacy, and year-round visual interest across the wider Berkshire landscape.

Our clients required a garden that could accommodate a variety of functional and lifestyle needs while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. The landscaping design included a new secondary driveway for visiting family and guests, alongside a contemporary glamping pod designed to provide additional guest accommodation within the garden setting.

A large open lawn area was retained to accommodate marquees and outdoor social events, while a new circulatory pathway was introduced to support fitness, health, and wellbeing activities throughout the landscape. As part of the wider landscaping scheme, we also designed integrated garden lighting and extended the existing rainwater irrigation system to support the new planting areas.

The clients’ love of roses, woodland planting, and colourful autumn trees helped shape the planting design, providing opportunities to create a richly layered landscape with seasonal colour, texture, and biodiversity throughout the year. Expanded planting borders and the introduction of over 20 mature trees helped strengthen the ecological value of the garden while also enhancing privacy and long-term visual impact.

Glamping pod

The bespoke glamping pod was designed as a fully functional outdoor living space complete with integrated services and underfloor heating. Externally, a timber deck transitions into plank-style paving with planted joints, helping soften the hard landscaping and bring planting closer to the structure itself.

Permeable resin pathways were carefully selected to minimise excavation and reduce disturbance to the existing and proposed trees, while allowing rainwater to naturally filter into the surrounding root systems.

Garden sculpture

A bespoke sculpture was proposed to wind its way through the taller trees (like a ribbon in the wind) then dive down into the planting only to reemerge near the glamping pod and continue to flow through the planting.

We increased the planting borders to create the seasonal interest and increase the attraction for biodiversity, the large lawn was increased for a carbon sink as well as a functional space for entertainment and a further 20 large trees were proposed to provide that spectacular splash of autumn colour. This also helps to reduce some of the clients carbon footprint offset by planting such large trees.
