Luxury Landscaping & Garden Design in Haslemere, Surrey
Designed to work in harmony with the surrounding landscape, this contemporary garden transformation focused on reshaping a steep multi-level site into a series of immersive and connected outdoor spaces. Combining structural landscaping, architectural planting, and carefully considered garden design, the finished landscape creates a balance between the dramatic views and the everyday enjoyment of the garden itself.

We were approached by these clients after they had viewed a similar landscaping project on our website and recognised our experience in designing and constructing complex multi-level sloping gardens. The project involved integrating a new garden design alongside architectural plans for a swimming pool and gym extension positioned on a lower level of the property, complete with a green roof designed to sit naturally within the surrounding landscape.
The clients were keen to create a garden journey with a variety of distinct spaces and experiences throughout the landscape, encouraging movement and exploration across the site. While the property enjoys spectacular panoramic views, the focus of the brief was to create a garden that felt immersive and connected to the house rather than relying solely on the surrounding scenery. As the clients explained, the views could already be appreciated from every window, so the landscaping design needed to bring texture, structure, and atmosphere closer to the living spaces and outdoor areas themselves.
Through a combination of structural landscaping, layered planting, and carefully connected garden spaces, we created a landscape that balances both formal and informal design influences while improving the functionality, atmosphere, and visual connection throughout the garden.

We were asked to create a series of different garden destinations while accommodating the significant changes in level across the site in both a practical and creative way. The landscape needed to provide a variety of seating and functional outdoor spaces for different occasions, including social entertaining areas, quieter family spaces, and more private areas for relaxation. Understanding how the clients used the internal spaces within their home was an important part of the design process, allowing us to create a seamless transition between the house, garden, and wider landscape.
As with all of our landscaping projects, sustainability and environmental responsibility were carefully considered throughout the design and construction process. Wherever possible, we aimed to retain and reuse existing materials and soil already on site to reduce waste, minimise environmental impact, and improve the overall efficiency of the project. By working with the natural landscape, we were able to address drainage and level changes while enhancing biodiversity and creating a series of functional outdoor spaces for the clients to enjoy throughout the year.
