Bespoke Landscaping for Large Gardens & Multi-Acre Estates

Winchester project scaled

Landscaping a large garden can be a daunting prospect. Where gardens extend for many acres, it can be challenging to know how to make the best use of your space.

Our landscape architects and designers work with you to transform your large garden into a space – or series of spaces that reflect your lifestyle. Founded by Chartered Landscape Architect Paul Cowell, PC Landscapes regularly works on projects between two and 30 acres, creating a stunning overall effect that makes your outside space flow exactly the way you want it to.

Chooisng a landscape architect

When you have a large garden, you need professional advice from someone who understands not just how your landscape is formed, but how to use it to its best advantage. This understanding is both in practical terms – how to make the most of what you have without the hassle and expense of bringing more materials on to your site – and in aesthetic terms – how to enhance the natural views.

For example, where your landscaping is part of a broader development to your home, we work alongside your architects and other advisers, making sure that our design is seamless with your property, and that work is carried out in the right order, minimising disruption and making the most of your budget.

specialist project management

Landscaping a large garden often involves a wider team than standard garden design projects. You may need a drainage specialist, for example. There may be conservation issues with trees or wildlife where you may need to consult a specific expert. If you’re creating different levels, adding a pool or building an outdoor kitchen, you might need a structural engineering opinion. We can coordinate all of this for you, taking on complete project management so that all you need to do is make some key decisions and then enjoy it all when the work is completed.

Exbury Gardens

On Wednesday the 10th of July, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has officially opened Exbury’s Centenary Garden, designed by RHS Chelsea gold medallist Marie-Louise Agius and built by PC Landscapes. The garden marks 1oo years since Lionel de Rothschild (Marie Louise’s great-grandfather), acquired the now world-renowned Exbury Gardens.

During His visit, His Royal Highness was given a tour of the new Centenary Garden and unveiled a commemorative plaque after having met members of the Rothschild Family. His Royal Highness was also introduced to a part of the PC Landscapes team, Exbury gardeners and Exbury’s invaluable volunteers.
